So what is an engagement photo-shoot?

In short few words it’s an opportunity to have some fun with you and to get to know you before your big day. During the shoot we take note of how you interact with each other in front of the camera. We will learn about  your individual personalities and your quirks. These mental notes will help us to capture and photograph your wedding day in a way that is unique to you and reflects your personal style. We will also give you some tips how to pose and always look your best in front of the camera.

Location & Time

The engagement shoot typically takes between 1-2 hours at a location of your choice… or one we recommend. This location could be the place where you got engaged or had your first date. It could be a place where you both like to spend time, or something you like to do together. Our clients have invited us to their hometowns, the university where they met, parks, hockey and curling stadiums, favorite restaurants, museums and their homes. You may feel more at ease in an environment you are familiar with. If you have children, pets, or a vehicle you want to include – be sure to bring them/it along.

The engagement shoot may also be an opportunity for a hair and makeup trial. This way you get to see how your hair and makeup look in photos and you can let your stylist know if there is anything you would like to change.
